Housing Support

Specialist Housing Support – Safe, Stable, and Recovery-Focused Living

At PIP Health Care, we understand that safe, stable, and appropriate housing is the foundation for recovery, independence, and long-term well-being, particularly for individuals living with psychosocial disability and intellectual disability.

We provide specialist housing support designed to help participants secure, sustain, and thrive in accommodation that aligns with their needs, preferences, and goals. Our approach goes beyond simply finding a place to live—we focus on creating environments that promote stability, dignity, skill-building, and meaningful participation in community.

Our housing support services include:

  • Assistance in securing appropriate accommodation, including private rentals, community housing, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Drop-in Support model, and Individualised Living Options (ILO)
  • Support to establish and maintain tenancies, including building routines, managing household responsibilities, and sustaining stable living arrangements
  • Transitional and step-down support for participants moving from hospital, inpatient units, or unstable housing into long-term accommodation
  • Development of independent living skills, including budgeting, household management, and daily routines
  • Coordination with housing providers, landlords, and support networks to ensure continuity, stability, and proactive issue resolution
  • Integrated supports that combine housing with psychosocial recovery, community participation, and capacity building

Our team has extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and intellectual disabilities, and we recognise that housing stability plays a critical role in reducing hospitalisations, improving recovery outcomes, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Guided by our philosophy of “No decision about me, without me,” we work in partnership with participants to ensure housing solutions reflect their choices, cultural needs, and long-term aspirations.

At PIP Health Care, we don’t just support people to find housing

We support them to build a home, a foundation for recovery, and a pathway to greater independence and inclusion.
